Effects
The main effects unit is a TC Electronic G System. The system hosts a variety of effect capabilities and the 5 main patches used are:
- "Crunch" rhythm patch (nothing used in the G System besides a short analog-style slap-back delay and small amount of compression)
- "Dry Lead" is the main solo patch with added gain from an overdrive pedal via one of the loops (usually an Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer), boost, short delay and compression
- "Long Delay" with a 600ms analog-style echo, overdrive via loop 2, boost, compression and slight detune
- "Clean" in which the system switches to the clean channel on the X100B head with added reverb, medium delay, slight detune and compression
- Patch 5 has been used for a variety of different sounds. As of summer 2017, it is being used for the Whammy-style octave effect for the solo in "Killing In The Name" by Rage Against The Machine. Octave is set to one octave higher with little original dry signal mixed in, boost, overdrive via loop 2 and compression.
The system can host 4 stomp boxes, which are connected via the send/return of each individual loop. The main ones used are an Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer, MXR Phase 90, MXR Uni-Vibe and a "wild card" loop that many different pedals have occupied depending on what is needed for any particular band's set. In this photo, it's a Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble.
Other pedals used are a Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah, Morley Little Alligator Volume and Boss TU-3 Tuner.
Wireless system: Line 6 Relay G30
The whole setup if fed into a BBE "Sonic Stomp" Sonic Maximizer and then back into the amplifier.
No rack-mounted effects are used at this time.
